Hard cider, the effervescent alcoholic elixir, is experiencing an enormous comeback. Cideries are popping up across Northern California, and wineries and breweries are clamoring to add cider to their portfolios. You can sip a full range of styles at some of the Bay Area’s hippest hot spots, from Townie in Berkeley to Upcider in San Francisco. And cider production has gone off the charts, outstripping even craft beer.”
